Her family, Paul, Dave and Pete, along with her daughters in-law, Marilyn, Sharon, and Paula respectively, wish to celebrate her 93 years of life, and honor her memory. Edwina's choice was to not have a wake or a funeral, but, with the loving support of La Leche League International, a Memorial Celebration has been scheduled as follows:

Day: Saturday
Date: July 12th, 2008
Time: 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm
Place: Elk Grove High School
500 W. This celebration will probably be held the afternoon of Saturday, July 12 in the Chicago, Illinois, USA suburbs. The family has no idea how many friends from the LLLI community would plan to attend such an event and we have offered to help by trying to get an idea for them so they can pick an appropriate place.

If you would probably come to Edwina's celebration, please email me directly at tnoack@llli.org as soon as possible. If you are from a Group or Area and can respond for a number of people, that would be fine and easier to count. This does not have to be a definite commitment to attend, the family just does not know whether to plan for 100 or 500 at the celebration.

Many thanks,
Trisha Noack
PR Director LLLIUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8371715134538255728.post-12902233910964738602008-06-08T15:54:00.004-05:002008-06-08T16:06:57.699-05:00Pictures of EdwinaJanet Jendron, LLLI Alumnae Association member and former LLLI Board member, has created a website with more pictures of Edwina:

http://www.carolinasunshine.org/Edwina/edwina.htmlUnknownnoreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8371715134538255728.post-34555734459925495382008-06-08T09:25:00.002-05:002008-06-08T09:32:30.994-05:00Edwina FroehlichDear Friends,

It is with the deepest sadness that we share with you that Edwina Froehlich, co-Founder of La Leche League International, passed away on June 8, 2008 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois, USA, after suffering a stroke on May 25.
